Palmers Green, England — Authorities are investigating a violent episode from last summer that left a man seriously injured. The Metropolitan Police have released images of three individuals, whom they describe as key witnesses to the events that unfolded on the evening of June 12.
Around 11 p.m. that night, a 32-year-old man was attacked at the intersection of Park Avenue and Green Lanes. Reports indicate he was shot at while seated in his vehicle, narrowly escaping the gunfire. Moments later, a second assailant approached and stabbed him through the car’s driver-side door.
Prior to this assault, the shooter had allegedly attempted to target an 18-year-old man during a foot chase, indicating a premeditated element to the violence. The victim in this case sustained severe back injuries and was transported to the hospital under life-threatening conditions, but he has since made a full recovery.
Detective Constable Joe Halsey, part of the investigation team, emphasized the seriousness of the attack, calling the victim “incredibly fortunate to be alive.” He has reassured the community that investigators are employing all available resources, including reviewing CCTV footage and witness statements, to identify and locate the suspects.
Mateos Jubani, a 30-year-old resident of Enfield Wash, was arrested on July 9 and subsequently charged with multiple offenses including two counts of attempted murder. His trial is scheduled to begin at Wood Green Crown Court on June 29, 2026.
