Kaduna State, Nigeria – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has confirmed the tragic deaths of four officers who were ambushed by bandits in the Farin-Kasa area of Chukun Local Government Area. The incident took place while the team was inspecting the national grid installation in Shiroro, Niger State. NSCDC spokesperson Afolabi Babawale stated that out of the missing officers, four bodies have been recovered, two returned uninjured, and one remains missing. The NSCDC Commandant-General, Ahmed Audi, has expressed condolences to the fallen officers and pledged to cover all medical expenses and other welfare needs for the affected personnel.
Audi commended the bravery and courage shown by the operatives during the ambush, denouncing the violent act and emphasizing the importance of combating such atrocities to prevent further loss of security personnel.
