CAMDEN, NJ – A spine-chilling case has unfolded in Camden County, where three family members have been charged in the murder and dismemberment of Harold Miller, a 48-year-old man who vanished in June. The suspects are Everton Thomas, his wife Sherri Parker, and their son Deshawn Thomas.
Miller was last seen on Baird Boulevard, and authorities have charged Everton Thomas with first-degree murder. Parker and Deshawn are accused of desecrating human remains. Despite thorough investigations, Miller’s body remains missing.
Evidence gathered includes surveillance footage and cell phone data that placed Miller at the Thomas residence on June 12. A gunshot was recorded shortly after his arrival, and Miller was never seen leaving. His family reported him missing on June 14.
In the days that followed, Parker and Deshawn were observed buying cleaning supplies, contractor bags, and a chainsaw. Witnesses told investigators about unsettling details, including Deshawn’s alleged confession of being asked by his father to help dismember a body. Others reported a strong odor of decomposition and heard power tools in use.
Further surveillance showed Everton and Deshawn making repeated visits to dumpsters, disposing of large trash bags. Neighbors expressed shock, describing the area as typically peaceful and family-oriented.
After a search warrant on June 20 revealed bloodstains in the home, Everton Thomas fled to Canada. He was apprehended at the Port of Buffalo while attempting to return to the U.S. Sherri Parker and Deshawn Thomas are in local custody, with a court appearance set for next week. Everton Thomas is detained in New York, awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
