Muskogee, Oklahoma – A suspect wanted in connection with a homicide was shot by law enforcement officers on Saturday night following a dramatic chase and exchange of gunfire, authorities disclosed.
Reportedly, the suspect is accused of shooting two women at a recycling business in Oktaha, leading to the death of one woman while the other survived her injuries and was subsequently discharged from medical care.
After the initial incident, the suspect was reportedly involved in another shooting in Muskogee, near the intersection of 24th Street and Topeka Avenue, before fleeing from pursuing officers. The ensuing chase culminated in the suspect firing shots at Lighthorse police, prompting them to return fire and ultimately shooting the suspect.
The wounded suspect was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention, while fortunately, no law enforcement officers sustained any injuries during the exchange.
