The incident, which occurred at a school in February, involved Myeong Jae-wan, a 48-year-old teacher who killed her pupil before turning a weapon on herself.
On the day of the attack, Myeong had lured Kim into a classroom, where she stabbed the child repeatedly. Before this act, Myeong had displayed concerning behavior, including an incident where she put another teacher in a headlock. Although she had requested a leave of absence due to depression, she returned to work just 20 days later after being deemed fit by a physician.
