COKATO, Minn. — A grand jury has indicted David Bruce Delong on charges of premeditated murder in the death of Amber Mary Czech, who was killed at a manufacturing facility in November. The indictment follows an investigation led by Wright County Attorney Brian Lutes into the circumstances surrounding the incident at Advanced Process Technologies.
The grand jury, comprised of local citizens, convened to review evidence presented by Lutes. After deliberation, they charged Delong with first-degree murder, indicating that the act was premeditated and intentional. This serious charge carries a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.
In addition to the first-degree murder charge, Delong faces a second-degree murder indictment for intentionally causing Czech’s death. Czech, whose death has sparked community concern, was reportedly fatally injured on November 11, 2025.
Delong made his initial court appearance on December 8, where he was informed of the charges against him. He remains in custody at the Wright County Jail, with bail set at $2 million under strict release conditions, or $5 million without such conditions.
