Mount Pearl, Newfoundland – A seventh youth has been arrested in connection to two violent attacks in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, last week, as authorities continue to pursue charges against several individuals involved in the incidents. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary announced on Friday that a male youth is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, armed robbery, uttering threats, and property damage. These charges stem from two attacks that occurred on separate parts of Roosevelt Avenue approximately a week ago.
Furthermore, additional charges have been laid on three other youths related to the attacks that took place at a restaurant on Commonwealth Avenue on November 8. The incidents involved assault with a weapon and property damage. Const. James Cadigan of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary mentioned that one of the victims sustained minor injuries during the attack at the restaurant but did not require medical attention. The authorities clarified that the victim was not acquainted with the attackers and that the confrontation started with a verbal exchange before turning violent.
The youths involved in the November 8 attack range from 13 to 15 years old and were scheduled to appear in provincial court. Const.
