Kansas City, Missouri – Two men are facing charges of murder in connection with the deadly shooting that occurred at the Kansas City Chiefs parade. The shooting took place shortly after the rally celebrating the team’s Super Bowl victory, resulting in the death of a woman and the injury of 22 other people near Union Station.
Prosecutors announced on Tuesday that Lyndell Mays and Dominic Miller have been charged with second-degree murder and are being held on a $1 million bond. According to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker, the altercation began when Mays allegedly drew a handgun after an argument with another individual at the rally. Subsequently, others also brandished their firearms, including Miller, whose gun is believed to have caused the fatal victim’s death.
The victim, identified as Lisa Lopez-Galvan, was a 43-year-old mother of two and a local radio DJ.
