Houston rideshare driver fatally shot

HOUSTON, TX – Authorities in southeast Houston are on the hunt for two individuals suspected of being involved in a deadly incident early Tuesday morning. The victim, believed to be a rideshare driver, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Ward Street, not far from an elementary school. The man, an Asian in his late 20s, succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.

Police arrived at the scene after a witness reported discovering the man on the ground. Before passing, the victim managed to tell officers that two men had attacked him, shooting him several times and forcibly removing him from his vehicle. The suspects fled in the victim’s black Honda Sonata, which was later located at the intersection of Goforth and Dreyfoos. The victim’s cellphone and wallet were recovered from the street, offering potential clues in the ongoing investigation.
