Bradenton, Florida – A young man from Bradenton, Florida, has been taken into custody after allegedly subjecting his pregnant girlfriend to days of terror, as claimed by law enforcement officials.
Anthony Reyes-Enos, 22, faces charges of assaulting his pregnant partner over a 48-hour period. The charges include accusations of punching her in the stomach and physically harming her two young children, according to a statement from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Following a harrowing escape, the pregnant woman managed to call for help, only to receive distressing photos from Reyes-Enos showing her children, aged 1 and 2, with visible bruises and wounds, as reported by the sheriff’s office.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they observed the children suffering from multiple injuries, including lacerations, bruising, and swelling. Medical services were promptly contacted, and both children, along with their mother, were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Reyes-Enos has been charged with several offenses, including domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, tampering with a 911 call, false imprisonment, and two counts of aggravated child abuse.
As of now, Reyes-Enos remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail eligibility review on April 9, based on court records acquired by PEOPLE magazine.
