RALEIGH, N.C. – Authorities are currently conducting an investigation following a shooting that occurred in the North Hills shopping center area. Reports indicate that one man was fatally shot, while two others sustained injuries in the incident that took place on Friday, Jan. 17.
Officials from the Raleigh Police Department confirmed the details of the shooting, stating that they received reports of gunshots in the 4300 block of the Circle at North Hills Street. Despite initial concerns of an active shooter situation, law enforcement later clarified that it was not the case.
A social media update from the Raleigh police noted that three individuals had been shot during the incident. Tragically, one man succumbed to his injuries, while another was in critical condition, and the third individual suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
