PORTLAND, Ore. — Authorities are investigating an explosion that occurred Saturday night at the Woodburn Inn located along North Pacific Highway, leaving three individuals injured.
Woodburn police arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the incident. Officers found a 25-year-old man who sustained non-life-threatening injuries due to flying debris. He was treated outside a ground-level room where the explosion took place.
Inside the same room, a 33-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were discovered with burn injuries. Emergency services quickly transported all three to local hospitals, where they are anticipated to make a full recovery.
To address safety concerns, the Oregon State Police bomb squad was called in to assist. Their examination of the scene revealed no explosive devices, but investigators are still working to determine the cause of the explosion.
