Toyota, Aichi Prefecture, Japan – An explosion at an auto parts factory on Thursday resulted in the tragic death of one individual. The incident occurred at the Fujioka plant operated by Chuo Spring when a dust collector inside the facility exploded just after 8 a.m. Local authorities reported that a male employee made the initial call to the fire department following the blast, leading to the dispatch of nineteen fire trucks to the scene for ongoing firefighting efforts.
Upon paramedics’ arrival, they discovered one employee in cardiopulmonary arrest at the factory site. Despite efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The age and gender of the victim have not been disclosed at this time. Additionally, two other male employees aged 52 and 44 sustained minor injuries during the explosion, according to official reports.
Chuo Spring’s Fujioka plant primarily manufactures springs for automobiles, playing a crucial role in the automotive industry supply chain.
