According to the Dnipropetrovsk regional police, a man sustained injuries from the explosion of an unidentified object. This alarming development comes on the heels of a similar explosion the day before at a recruitment office in Rivne, northwest Ukraine, where one person was killed and six others injured. The escalating tensions over military recruitment in Ukraine are a consequence of the country’s efforts to bolster its defense forces against Russia. In an unrelated incident on the same day, a Ukrainian recruitment officer was fatally shot by an armed individual, who then absconded with a conscript before being apprehended by the police.
