Bellefontaine, Ohio – A domestic dispute in Bellefontaine, Ohio, resulted in the arrest of 36-year-old Jarvis Magee of Columbus early Sunday morning, as confirmed by the Bellefontaine Police Department. Allegedly involving a violent altercation between Magee and the victim, the incident drew the attention of law enforcement officers.
Responding to the report of the disturbance on Township Road 179, officers encountered a distraught victim who revealed that Magee had departed the scene in a black Audi. Shortly after, Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies located Magee and took him into custody for questioning.
Magee asserted that he had visited the victim’s residence to see his children. Unable to reach the victim via phone, he entered the house, only to find the victim absent. A subsequent encounter between the two culminated in a heated argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
