Chernihiv, Ukraine — The Chernihiv region faced a deadly day of attacks, resulting in the deaths of two women and injuries to three others between September 6 and 7, according to local authorities. Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that Russian forces conducted multiple strikes throughout the area, with a total of 42 shelling incidents recorded.
The victims included two women from the village of Semenivka, who were killed during the relentless bombardments. Chaus indicated that one woman died after a drone attack struck her home and a local resident was also hit by a drone earlier in the day. Among the injured, a 45-year-old woman is hospitalized in serious condition following the drone attack in Horodnia, while two others—a 58-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman—were also hurt during the strikes.
Meanwhile, in Kryvyi Rih, an assault on a warehouse destroyed over 60,000 food packages meant for vulnerable residents and internally displaced individuals. Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, lamented the loss of critical supplies that were in transit for distribution. The airstrike caused significant collateral damage, affecting transportation infrastructure and numerous residential and business properties.
Shifting focus to the Donetsk region, local officials reported two civilian fatalities and nine injuries from continued assaults on September 6. As violence persists since the onset of the full-scale invasion, casualty figures in this region have soared to 3,589 deaths and over 8,000 injuries, excluding the cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha.
In Sumy, a drone strike damaged a five-story residential building, although no major structural damage occurred, and there were no reported casualties. However, three employees at an agricultural enterprise in the same region sustained injuries from another drone attack earlier that night.
The Kupiansk district in Kharkiv faced drone attacks, resulting in injuries to two civilians when their vehicle was struck. Additionally, a TV tower was destroyed in the settlement of Velykyi Burluk, showcasing the breadth of the ongoing conflict’s impact on infrastructure and safety.
In Kherson, artillery shelling left a 73-year-old woman injured. Authorities confirmed she suffered shrapnel wounds during the attack but is currently receiving medical care in stable condition.
Zaporizhzhia saw a significant rise in casualties following drone assaults, with 17 individuals reported injured after sustained attacks on multiple residential buildings and local enterprises. Damage assessments indicated substantial impacts on community infrastructure, with numerous private homes and a kindergarten among the affected locations.
The violence spread across various regions in Ukraine, with reports of grim effects on civilian infrastructures, such as transport systems and power lines in the Poltava region due to nighttime aerial strikes. Authorities confirmed that, while property damage occurred, no deaths were reported from these attacks.
In Dnipropetrovsk, an airstrike targeted the Pokrovska community, claiming the life of a 74-year-old man and damaging several properties. Local officials indicated the assault inflicted extensive harm on residential and agricultural structures, highlighting the persistent threat that residents face from ongoing military actions.
