Dallas, Texas – A bachelorette trip turned into a nightmare for a bride-to-be when she was brutally attacked outside a bar just one month before her wedding. Canada Rinaldi, 27, had traveled to Dallas with friends from Oklahoma when the attack occurred in the early hours of March 22. The Dallas Police Department reported that Rinaldi was assaulted after leaving a nightclub, resulting in a broken nose, several broken teeth, eight stitches to her face, and a concussion.
According to reports, the attack was captured on the dash camera of a rideshare driver, showing Rinaldi on the ground and a man running away. The victim’s sister, Brienna Rinaldi, described the shocking incident, recalling how a man approached Canada and punched her without warning. Trevon Woodards, 27, was arrested for the attack and was found to have a criminal history that includes assault charges, misdemeanor assault, and burglary.
Woodards’ parole status added to the distress of the situation, as it was revealed that no prior confrontation had occurred before the attack. The Dallas Police Department responded to the scene, where Rinaldi and her fiancé’s aunt were also injured.
