EDMONDS, Wash. — A 48-year-old man was arrested following an alleged violent attack on two employees of a massage business in Edmonds. Colin Fredrick Boswell faces two counts of first-degree attempted murder and two counts of unlawful imprisonment after the incident Sunday evening.
Witnesses reported that Boswell entered Eva Spa Massage shortly before 5:45 PM, where he was recognized by one of the victims as a previous customer. Surveillance footage showed him forcefully entering and locking the door behind him. As the first victim retreated, Boswell allegedly advanced toward her, initiating a brutal assault that included striking her and a second victim with a metal coat rack. A male customer present during the attack described hearing Boswell make comments that suggested it was a deliberate and targeted act. Though he was unharmed, the two female employees sustained significant injuries.
Both victims managed to flee outside, but Boswell followed them, continuing his aggressive behavior until he realized that emergency services had been contacted. Responding officers discovered the victims unconscious at the scene, with evidence indicating a severe assault had occurred. Witnesses helped law enforcement locate Boswell, who was apprehended in the parking lot of a nearby business.
Upon his arrest, Boswell reportedly made comments expressing regret that he had not killed the victims. He was observed wearing gloves that were stained with blood, raising further concerns about the violent nature of the attack.
Emergency responders transported both victims to local hospitals for treatment of multiple lacerations and significant injuries to their faces and heads. The investigation is ongoing, with detectives from the Edmonds Police Department working to determine the motive behind the assault.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information to come forward by calling 425-407-3999 or submitting tips via email.
The Edmonds Police Department thanked witnesses for their assistance in capturing the suspect, highlighting the community’s role in ensuring safety and justice. Further updates on the case will be released as the investigation progresses.
