TULARE, Calif. — A man is facing felony charges after allegedly launching a brutal attack that sent another individual to the hospital. The incident took place on the evening of November 7, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.
According to the Tulare Police Department, officers received reports of an assault near Sonora Avenue and R Street around 8:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had sustained severe injuries from being struck with a blunt object. Emergency responders quickly transported him to a nearby hospital for vital medical care.
Due to the gravity of the situation, the case was handed over to the Police Investigations Bureau, which quickly began piecing together the events surrounding the attack. Through diligent work, investigators identified the suspect as 25-year-old Isaiah Castro from Visalia. Law enforcement officials promptly secured an arrest warrant.
On Thursday, members of the Tulare SWAT team, supported by additional officers, located Castro at a residence on Court Street and Beech Avenue in Visalia. He was taken into custody without incident.
