Assault at Talapadi Toll Gate: Young Men Attack Staff Over Toll Fee Skirmish

Mangalore, India – In a recent incident at the Talapadi Toll Gate, a group of individuals assaulted toll staff members after trying to bypass the toll fee. The altercation involved five young men traveling in an i-20 car with a registration from Uttar Pradesh. The confrontation took place on Sunday, leading to injuries among the toll workers.

Reports suggest that the group attempted to drive through the toll gate without paying the required fee. When a toll worker from the IGS company tried to intervene by hitting the back of the car, the situation quickly escalated. The group retaliated by stopping their vehicle, getting out, and attacking the toll staff with objects from their surroundings.

The violent outburst resulted in injuries to three toll workers – Manu, Sudham, and Aman. They were promptly taken to a private hospital for necessary medical attention. The attackers have been identified as Zulfan, Nifan, and Fayaz. While Zulfan has been apprehended by the Ullal police, the other two suspects are still at large.

CCTV footage captured the entire incident, providing concrete evidence of the attack. Authorities are actively searching for the remaining suspects to bring them to justice. In a separate unfortunate incident in Bengaluru’s Konankunte area, an 18-year-old named Shabresh lost his life due to a firecracker stunt gone wrong.

Under the influence of alcohol, Shabresh accepted a dangerous challenge involving firecrackers, resulting in a fatal explosion that led to his demise. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, Shabresh succumbed to his injuries hours later. These incidents serve as sobering reminders of the consequences of reckless behavior and the importance of safety awareness.
