Northville, MI – Police announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with a violent armed robbery and sexual assault that took place in January at a Northville Township home.
Javon Bryant Anderson, 29, from Detroit, faces 26 felony charges, including first-degree criminal sexual conduct, armed robbery, kidnapping, home invasion, assault less than murder, felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, and felony firearm offenses. He is currently being held on a bond of $500,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 16.
The second suspect, whose name has not been released by police, was taken into federal custody to face federal weapons charges. The incident, which occurred on Jan. 20, involved the assault of a man and the rape of a woman at a Northville Township home.
According to police, the man was lured outside the home, where he was attacked by the suspects. He was then forced back into the home at gunpoint, where the assault continued. Meanwhile, one of the suspects sexually assaulted a woman inside the home while the other held the man and a 1-year-old child at gunpoint.
Following an investigation, the suspects were identified and apprehended after a search of homes in Detroit and Taylor on Feb. 5. The details surrounding the case indicate a harrowing and traumatic experience for the victims involved.
