HARTFORD, Conn. — Two individuals were discovered deceased in a residence on Saturday morning following the conclusion of an overnight gathering, as reported by the Hartford police. Responding to a call reporting gunfire at a property on Garden Street just before 5 a.m., Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert stated that officers found evidence of a large after-hours event that had taken place in the basement and upper levels of the house.
Notably, three adult male victims were found by police, with two of them having succumbed to their injuries. The third victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. According to Boisvert, preliminary information suggested that an altercation had occurred in the basement, leading to two individuals opening fire. One of the deceased victims was identified as one of the shooters, while the second shooter remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Following the initial gunfire, the second shooter reportedly fired at the first shooter, with police believing that it was an attempt to prevent further gunfire from occurring. The incident marks the fourth homicide in the city this year, Boisvert confirmed.
